What Makes a Great School?

A Message from the Senior Pastor

All parents want their child to attend a great school – not just a good school. In 2007 God inspired me to start a school that would address the needs of students within our community, realizing that true educational success begins at birth through pre-k to elementary education and beyond.

The King’s Academy was inspired by the life of one Mrs. Frances King who served for 43 years as a stellar 1st Grade teacher, her impact has reached far into the DNA of our community. Her philosophies were tried and proven, love every child, see the best in them, and never use negative words with them.

Teachers at The King’s Academy are passionate about what they do, they provide excellence in education, and they care beyond what’s just necessary. Our teachers come in all different shapes and sizes, they have varied backgrounds and experiences, and possess unique personality types. We are blessed to have these remarkable men and women leading our students and our efforts to change our community and world through education.

Notwithstanding our exemplary teachers, The King’s Academy is also blessed with other qualities necessary to be a great school:

  • A modern, secure campus with state of the art infrastructure supporting the latest in learning technology.
  • The Abeka Curriculum (Elementary School), which is a biblically based, well thought out curriculum.
  • A commitment to character development and service to others.

The King’s Academy is a wonderful school in the urban community, that’s doing wonderful things. I am happy to commend to you, one of Central Florida’s best educational institutions.

Sincerely,

Pastor Byron D. Stevenson
